Doctorate
At the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Augsburg, the qualification of Dr. med. is awarded in the field of human medicine, Dr. rer. biol. hum. in the field of human biology, and Dr. rer. nat. in the natural sciences.

Habilitation
With the coming into force of the Faculty of Medicine’s habilitation regulations on 01.03.2022, it is now possible to habilitate at the Faculty of Medicine.

Habilitation Transfer
It is also possible to apply for a habilitation transfer by which applicants can have their teaching qualifications acquired at another university in Germany or abroad transferred to the University of Augsburg, thus exempting them from some or all of the habilitation requirements.

Following a review of the applicant’s documentation by the Faculty Board, a corresponding application is submitted to the university executive.

Adjunct Professor
On the recommendation of a representative of the relevant discipline and on the decision of the Faculty Board, the faculty can apply to the President of the University of Augsburg for the appointment of an Adjunct Professor. ?
